End of life spiritual care

Death is a sacred journey that we can honour without fear. I will support you and your whanau to honour the end of your loved one's life with grace and peace.

An experienced palliative care nurse and qualified death doula, Susie specialises in providing non-denominational spiritual care for end of life, end of life rituals, and deep healing for grief and loss.

Spirituality is something that is not often given very much attention when someone is dying, unless it is already known that they have a strong religious practice.

We are far more than just our mind and body. We are also spiritual beings whether or not we have a spiritual practice, or belong to an organised religion.

Susie recognises the essential soul in the dying person and offers gentle supportive spiritual guidance that allows the dying person to feel safe, respected, and protected as they embark on their end of life journey

Spiritual care can be holding vigil, offering prayer, singing, chanting, talking, or just being present there to soothe the dying person and support their transition.
